How it actually works
Here’s the thing about standard heaters: they just warm up the air. That’s a problem because the air hits a cold wall, turns into condensation, and starts dripping. That dampness is basically a welcome mat for mold. Our infrared lamps do something different. Instead of fighting the air, they go straight for the surfaces. The heat penetrates the walls and ceiling, keeping them warm to the touch. When the wall stays warm, water can’t bead up. No standing water, no mold. Simple as that.
Built for the steam
Bathrooms are honestly a nightmare for electronics. Between the humidity and the occasional splash, things break. That’s why we built these to IP65 standards. In plain English? They’re dust-tight and can handle water jets from any angle without breaking a sweat. We used high-temp gaskets and sealed cables so steam can’t sneak into the wiring and fry the system. We also used specially coated quartz glass tubes. This pushes the heat further into the corners of the room, so you aren’t just heating the two inches of air right next to the bulb.
A few things to keep in mind
If you’re installing these into your current setup, just a heads-up: watch your power surge. These high-wattage elements pull a lot of current the second you flip the switch. Make sure your breakers can handle the peak load, or you’ll be heading to the electrical panel more often than you’d like. And just to be clear, this isn’t a replacement for your exhaust fan. You still need that fan to push the heavy steam out of the house. Think of it as a tag team. Use the IR heater to keep the walls dry and stop the mold, and let the fan handle the fog.
