Why we build our 1500W heaters differently
Most outdoor heaters are basically disposable. You buy one, it keeps your gazebo warm for a few winters, and then one day the heating element pops. Since they’re usually sealed shut, you can’t fix them. You just throw the whole thing in the trash and start over. We think that’s a waste. So, we did things differently.
The heat that actually hits you
We stuck with 1500W because it’s the sweet spot for most standard home circuits. But the real secret is the short-wave infrared. Instead of trying to heat the air—which just floats away the second a breeze hits your gazebo—this heat travels straight to you. It feels like sitting in the sun on a crisp October morning. The quartz tube gets hot fast, and you feel it instantly.
No more “throw-away” appliances
Here’s the best part: we made these modular. If a heating element burns out after five years, you don’t have to rip the entire fixture off your ceiling or mess with the house wiring. The heating module just slides into a bracket. When it’s time for a new one, you just pull the old module out and click a replacement in. No soldering. No confusing wire diagrams. Just a simple swap and you’re back to being warm.
Keeping it running
Now, look, no design is perfect. Because we use connectors instead of hard-wiring everything, there are a few more spots where grime can build up. Every few years, especially if you live somewhere humid, it’s a good idea to give those terminals a quick clean. If they get corroded, the heater won’t put out as much heat. Also, just double-check the mounting clips every now and then to make sure they’re snug. It takes about five minutes of work, but it means your heater lasts way longer than those cheap, sealed units that end up in a landfill after three seasons.
