Material & Design: Halogen, Coating, and R7s Connector
The tube uses a quartz envelope with a halogen fill. Halogen chemistry keeps the filament stable at high temperature, which helps maintain output over the lamp life and reduces blackening compared to standard incandescent. The interior is coated to manage the infrared spectrum, pushing energy into the 2–3 micron band for efficient absorption by people and materials. Termination is R7s—a double-ended linear connector that seats quickly and carries high current without needing extra hardware.
